Walnut and maple create a warm atmosphere to encourage students and faculty to stop and enjoy the baked goods prepared at the Culinary School. Delicious colors such as plum, raspberry and chocolate browns frame the pass-through at the labs themselves, and colors of vanilla and cream are used in the larger gathering space. This conversion of the school’s former cafeteria results in a kitchen for training future pastry and a la carte chefs and is a central gathering space for students and faculty. The hospitality station creates an entrance to the labs, and also doubles as a serving station for larger campus social functions, in keeping with the flexible use of the space.
